PJ Solar provides mobile solar panel cleaning and bird proofing in Helendale by appointment. Operating since 2017, we help homeowners address two different maintenance needs: the panel glass above and the space beneath the array.
Tell us what you are seeing before booking. Call 760-590-8516, text PJ Solar, or request an estimate online. We confirm availability and any travel charges for your property before scheduling.
Is it a cleaning job, a bird problem, or both?
If the glass looks dusty but you have not noticed birds entering underneath, ask about panel cleaning. If you see pigeons going beneath the panels, loose perimeter mesh, or nesting material at an edge, mention those details too. A clean-looking panel surface does not tell us whether the barrier underneath is intact.
You do not need to climb onto the roof to investigate. Photos or a short video taken safely from the ground can help us understand the concern and plan the assessment.
DI-water cleaning and a practical maintenance schedule
We use deionized water only on solar panel glass. PJ recommends cleaning about every six months as a starting point, adjusted to the condition of the panels, the surroundings and the manufacturer’s guidance. Tell us about recent dust, nearby trees, bird activity and when the last cleaning took place.

Pigeon cleanup and fitted bird proofing
Before quoting bird proofing, we assess the roof profile, panel layout, access, existing mesh and cleanup needed. PJ Solar uses Bird-B-Gone mesh and clips fitted to the array. Tell us if a previous barrier has gaps or if birds have returned after roof or solar work.
Our five-year bird-proofing labor warranty requires annual cleaning and inspection. That annual requirement is separate from PJ’s starting recommendation for cleaning the panel glass. Read more about solar panel bird proofing.
What if leaves or pine needles are the concern?
Ask about Solar Barrier Protection when debris beneath the array is the issue. Tell us about any visible accumulation in roof valleys or gutters as well; gutter and roof valley cleaning is a separate service to discuss when booking.
Request a Helendale estimate
Send your address, panel count if known, roof type if known, service needed and safely taken photos. We provide mobile service by appointment; this page does not represent a Helendale storefront. Call 760-590-8516 or send your estimate request.
