Birds Getting Through an Existing Barrier?
Tell us if you see hanging wire, gaps at corners, detached clips or birds entering beneath the array. Recent roofing work, panel additions or a previous barrier coming loose can leave openings that need attention.
We check the mesh, attachment points, roof contours and accessible perimeter. The estimate separates barrier work from any pigeon-dropping, nesting-material or debris cleanup needed underneath.
Repair or Replace the Mesh?
A localized loose section may need a different scope from a failed installation around the whole array. We assess what can be refitted and what needs replacement before recommending the work.
For replacement installations, PJ Solar uses Bird-B-Gone solar mesh and compatible nonpenetrating clips fitted to the roof and panel layout. Read about the mesh and clips used on our jobs.
A Real Failed-Barrier Cleanup in Victorville
At one Victorville property, loose sections of the previous wire barrier allowed pigeons to keep getting underneath. Over two days, our crew removed approximately 28 bags of droppings, nests, feathers and debris, then installed replacement mesh and cleaned the panels.

How Much Does Solar Bird Mesh Repair Cost?
Repair and replacement are quoted after an on-site assessment. The total depends on the affected perimeter, number of panel groups, roof access, attachment condition and cleanup needed. Photos help us prepare, while the visit establishes the scope.
Standard panel-glass cleaning is priced separately: $150 for 1–15 panels, or $10 per panel for more than 15. Heavy buildup, overspray removal and applicable travel charges are quoted separately. View cleaning prices.

PJ Solar’s five-year bird-proofing labor warranty requires annual PJ Solar cleaning and barrier inspection, subject to the written terms. Tell us if this is a warranty inspection or repair to another installer’s work so we can confirm the applicable coverage.
