What matters at your Murrieta property?
Murrieta stretches across the I-15 and I-215 corridors, with foothill areas toward the Santa Rosa Plateau to the west. That is why we ask about your particular property rather than assign every Murrieta home the same cleaning schedule. Is there exposed ground or nearby work kicking up dust? Do trees drop debris near the array? Are pigeons going underneath the panels?
Tell us your nearest cross streets when arranging service, along with what you have noticed since the last cleaning. A home beside open land and a home with trees close to the roof may need different attention. Start with PJ’s recommendation of about six months between panel cleanings, then adjust to the buildup actually returning at your home.
Why we ask about your roof before quoting bird proofing
Roof profile, panel layout and access matter to the scope of a bird-proofing job. Tell us whether you have tile or shingles, how many separate panel groups you can see, and whether an existing barrier is loose. If you do not know those details, say so; photos taken from the ground are a useful starting point.
PJ Solar uses Bird-B-Gone mesh and clips fitted to the roof and array. If pigeons are entering underneath, we assess both the cleanup needed and the entry points. Installing a perimeter barrier and cleaning the glass are different parts of the work. Satellite images can help us understand the layout, but they cannot show the amount of mess underneath or establish cleanup time. An on-site assessment is needed to confirm the bird-proofing scope.

Already have bird proofing? Tell us about recent roof work
If a roofer or solar contractor has moved part of the barrier, let us know before the next appointment. From a safe ground-level position, note any hanging sections or birds entering beneath the array. A bird sitting on top of a panel is a different observation from a bird getting underneath it.
Annual cleaning and inspection are required by PJ Solar’s five-year bird-proofing labor warranty. When booking, specify that you need the annual barrier cleaning and inspection, not just the panel glass cleaned.
Solar panel cleaning with DI water
We use deionized water only on panel glass. PJ recommends cleaning about every six months as a starting point, adjusted to site conditions and manufacturer guidance. Tell us when the last service happened and whether you have noticed deposits, bird activity or debris nearby.
